Last night we watched fireworks put on by the Irvine Police Association. D got free tickets, so we went with my parents. We sat in the bleachers of the Irvine High School football stadium, and the fireworks were set off very close to us. I was kind of concerned about how k and n would handle the noise. However, n slept through the whole thing and k fell asleep half way through! (We were covering their ears).
Getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare. You would think an event put on by the police would have better parking control. It was a good show, but the parking situation will probably keep us from returning any time soon. We got home past 10:30…D and I couldn’t think of a time when we have stayed out so late while having kids (I’m serious, we are NOT night owls).
Update: Our offer on the Tustin Ranch home was accepted! Two other offers fell through, and we were third in line. The inspection is tomorrow, so hopefully everything goes well.
