Ka-Pop Snacks sent me samples of their Ka-Pop Puffs as an Online Nourished Festival blogger, and they are one of my favorite new snack finds of 2020.

These delicious puffs are made from sorghum, which is an ancient grain. I did not know much about sorghum, but according to the Ka-Pop website, it is one of the few grains with an edible husk. This helps sorghum retain nutrients that are removed in other grains, such as essential vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber and antioxidants. Sorghum is also the 5th most harvested grain in the United States. Who knew?

We received samples of the Cheddar and Cinnamon Churro Ka-Pop Puffs. Ka-Pop also makes Popped Chips and all their snacks are allergen-friendly, gluten-free, paleo, non-GMO and vegan.

The Ka-Pop Cheddar Puffs remind me of some other not-so-healthy cheese puff snacks that my kids like to eat on occasion. These puffs are a more nutritious alternative. They are packed with cheesy flavor and have a light and crispy texture. My family all really enjoyed these puffs, and my kids will be packing them in their school lunches.

The Cinnamon Churro Ka-Pops are also very tasty. Look at how much these pops look like the picture on the package! I was surprised to see that they contain only 3 grams of sugar per serving. I will definitely be looking for these at my local Sprouts.

  1. Dairy Free Cheddar Puffs would be my first choice. My household is dairy free and this sounds like a yummy snack!
