For the artistic set, this D.I.Y. Geode Canvas kit would be a fun activity. I have reviewed several STMT (Simple Trendy Modern Touch) kits now, and am always impressed with their designs. This kit is recommended for ages 14 and up, but I am sure a younger person could do it (with adult supervision, of course).
